Hot off the Press @ Randwick Council meeting last tonight

Updated: Jun 30, 2022

Last night, your P&C again presented our case at Randwick City Councils June meeting for improvements to pedestrian safety for our school community. The motion raised by Councillor Hay for our concerns to be considered will be voted on at the July Council meeting now as last night's meeting was adjourned at 12:30am.

It has been more than 12 months since we originally presented our concerns to Randwick City Council via a motion brought by Councillor Veitch. Since then your P&C and school principal Ms Sayers have attended numerous Randwick City Council traffic committee meetings, as well as onsite visits to express our pedestrian safety concerns and lobby for solutions.

We all want better school access options with increased drop off/pickup capacity, safe walk/ride/scooter to school options teamed with increased awareness and education on pedestrian safety and appropriate use of school drop off/pickup zones. This is what we have been fighting for and what we hope to see implemented in the not too distant future.
